S
urely every talmid coming to Yeshiva has the goal and aim to receive the maximum possible benefit from the Yeshiva. It is likewise the goal of the hanhalah to assist every talmid to achieve these goals.

For every talmid who is accepted to the Yeshiva, the Yeshiva accepts responsibility to provide him with regular shiurim in nigleh and chassidus, and the chavrei hanhalah accept responsibility to be available to every talmid to provide guidance in learning and darchei chassidus.

In order for this to be successful, it is vital that each talmid be aware of his responsibilities as a Tomim in Tomchei T’mimim. In general, he accepts upon himself to be punctual in his attendance of all sedorim, to be diligent in utilizing all the time of each seder, and to be meticulous in conforming with all of the rules of the Yeshiva. With this foundation he can be ensured of much hatzlacha.

Following are some general points that it is crucial for every talmid to familiarize himself with before beginning his year in Yeshiva.

1. One of the most important ingredients for the success of a talmid is being on time for all sedorim and using out the allotted time to the fullest. If a talmid misses seder more than deemed reasonable by the hanhala, his parents will be contacted, and the advisability of his continuing in Yeshiva will be questioned. Every talmid obligates himself to arrive at the Yeshiva prior to the beginning of every zeman, and to remain in Yeshiva at the end of the zeman until the learning session is over.

2. The clothing of a tamid should be only plain dress clothing. The rule: any clothing that would not be deemed appropriate for Shabbos is not appropriate for a talmid in Yeshiva. No bochur coming to Yeshiva should have any other types of clothing in his possession in the first place. In addition, his clothing should  be neat and clean and orderly (tucked in) at all times. While walking anywhere outside of Yeshiva, a jacket and hat must be worn at all times, and in the winter – a coat.

3. The conduct in the dormitory must be fitting for a Tomim. No non – chassidishe tapes, or books or cd’s or publications are allowed in the dormitories. No computers and the like are permitted. If in doubt about the appropriateness of an item, check with the hanhala or leave it at home No radios are permitted (even if they are part of a tape recorder/alarm clock etc. and are never used etc.). If any of the above is found, it will be confiscated and not returned. Decisions will be made according to the discretion of the hanhala. The talmid is responsible to maintain his room in a clean and orderly fashion. Of course every bochur should be familiar with the rules in Shulchan Aruch governing tznius for men, and follow them at all times. It is vital for every talmid wishing to remain in the dormitory to show full obedience to the dorm counselor at all times.

4. No talmid may leave the Yeshiva grounds at any time (except for the designated places that will be announced by the hanhalah) without explicit permission from the hanhalah, under any circumstances. No excuse can justify such behavior. Any talmid who transgresses this rule is actively removing himself from the jurisdiction of the hanhala, and will be suspended ch”v. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Every talmid, without exception, must bring money for the mikvah at the beginning of the year.

Registering in our Yeshiva indicates that I have read the above, and accept responsibility to follow all of the Yeshiva rules in their entirety. I understand that the zeman of the Yeshiva is until Tisha b’Av, and commit to remain in Yeshiva until the end.
